Built in the18th Century, West Green House has been the home of General Hawley (Hangman of Hawley - commander of cavalry at Battle of Culloden) and Lord Alistair McAlpine. The house and gardens are now leased by Marylyn Abbot. The garden is free to National Trust Members on Wednesday afternoons April - September on presentation of membership card.
