POLISH, HUNGARIAN & ENGLISH AFTERNOON ~ 5th JULY

We are all used to reading and hearing about the influx of eastern Europeans into the country, although there are very few in Hartley Wintney, but Saturday 5th July sees a new, international departure for the Parish Council when it presents an afternoon of traditional Polish, Hungarian and English music, food and drink.

With Polish and Hungarian visitors and residents from around the area, it is hoped to provide a taste of these two countries more popular foods and drinks, as well as English fare, Morris dancing and live music.  Polish and Hungarian food, provided by local shops, will also be available for sale during afternoon.

So, for an afternoon, forget the barbecue and come to the Community Orchard at Hunts Common and enjoy the cultures of Poland and Hungary.  The event starts at midday and runs through until 5.00pm; admission is free.
